UK ambassador: Royal Air Force will return to Romania this year, for air police mission
Great Britain will provide "maximum support for Romania and the Black Sea", said the new ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Bucharest, Giles Portman, in a press conference on Tuesday, announcing that the Royal Air Force will return to our country this year, for an air police mission.
Giles Portman stated that Great Britain will continue to increase military support for Romania, as an ally, emphasizing that defense and security are among his priorities.
As NATO allies, we will continue to increase support for the United Kingdom here on the ground, Portman said.
Also, the diplomat spoke about the support that his country gives to Romania regarding demining in the Black Sea, in the context in which Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey recently signed an agreement in this regard.
The British ambassador also said that the UK will continue its support for Ukraine and added that he is grateful for everything Romania has done in this regard and for everything Romania is doing in this regard.
