Leu continues depreciation versus euro; BNR exchange rate: 4.8849 lei/euro

The leu appreciated on Tuesday by 0.11 bani against euro (0.02%), the European currency reaching a new historic growth, when the BNR exchange rate is 4.8849 lei/euro.BNR quoted euro at 4.8838 lei on Monday.In the interbanking market, the national currency was quoted between 4.8830 and 4.8887 lei for one euro.

On the other hand, the leu won ground against the US dollar, which reached 4.1036 lei, on the drop by 0.82 bani (-0.20%), against the Monday  rate of 4.1118 lei/dollar.

The national currency depreciated against the Swiss franc by 0.10 bani (0.02%). On Tuesday, the franc quotation reached 4.4070 lei, compared to 4.4060 lei on Monday. 

Gold was more expensive by 94.40 bani (0.42%), to 224.7611 lei, from 223.8171 lei, at the previous session.
