Minister Bogdan Aurescu proposed the organisation of a reunion of EU foreign affairs ministers in Kiev
The minister of foreign affairs, Bogdan Aurescu proposed the organisation in Kiev of a reunion of the EU ministers of foreign affairs, which could demonstrate the solidity of the European Union in Ukraine, in the context where Russian military forces are gathered at the Russian-Ukrainian border and the risks of this situation at the address of European security.
‘During the FAC (Foreign Affairs Council) reunion of today dealing with the situation of worrying security in the proximity of Ukraine, we reiterated Romania’s position regarding the necessity of dialogue, as well as deterrent. We suggested the examination of the possibility to organize a reunion of the Foreign Affairs Council in Kiev, as a sign of solidarity with Kiev’ wrote Bogdan Aurescu, on Twitter, on Monday.
He announced that he would talk at length about this issue, during the reunion of the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU member states (Foreign Affairs Council/FAC) to take place in Brussels on Monday.
