New aqueducts to be built in Romania, Moldova
Four aqueducts will be built in Romania and Moldova under the project "Romania - Republic of Moldova: Interconnection of drinking water supply systems," Romania's Ministry of the Environment, Water and Forestry ( MMAP) said in a social media post on Monday.
Also attending the work inauguration event at the first undercrossing point of the Prut River with drinking water in Macaresti, Ungheni District, Moldova, was Romanian Minister of the Environment Mircea Fechet
"This is a very good example of collaboration between the two countries in which we not only declare that we are brothers, but I hope that, very quickly, we will be able to drink the same water. We can take advantage of this good collaboration, each of the two countries can take over the examples of good practice and understand what we can learn from each other. As far as water management goes, I want to tell you that Romania still has a lot to learn."
An agreement between the government of Romania and the government of Moldova on building aqueducts provides for the location of four of them between Macaresti (Romania) - Macaresti (Republic of Moldova); Sculeni (Romania) - Sculeni (Republic of Moldova); Tabara; Ungheni (Romania) - Ungheni (Republic of Moldova).
