Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Christian Orthodox Church, invited at a festive dinner extended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin
Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Christian Orthodox Church (BOR) will be attending a festive dinner to be extended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to leaders and delegates of autocephalous Christian Orthodox churches in Moscow on the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the Russian Orthodox Church's Patriarchate.
"A festive dinner extended by Russian President Vladimir Putin to primates and delegates of autocephalous Christin Orthodox churches in Moscow is scheduled to take place today, at 20:00hrs at the Palace of the Facets in Kremlin. Patriarch Daniels will of course be in attendance," spokesman for the Romanian Patriarchate Vasile Banescu told AGERPRES on Monday.
Patriarch Daniel is in Moscow, December 2- 5, for celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Patriarchate in the Russian Christian Orthodox Church.
The delegation of the Romanian Patriarchate also includes Archbishop Nifon of Targoviste, and the priestly patriarchal councilors Michael Tita, Stefan Ababei, archimandrite Maxim Tifui and priest Eugeniu Rogoti, translator.
On Sunday, Patriarch Daniel met Patriarch Kiril of Moscow and All Russia, in the Hall of the Throne at the Danilovsky Residence, and on Monday, when 100 years since the enthronement of Saint Tikhon, the first Russian patriarch since 1700, when the Emperor Peter the Great reformed the Russian Orthodox Church, leaders of the local Christian Orthodox churches concelebrated the divine liturgy.
