Petre Daea participates in PRIA, Romanian farmers’ gala
Mr Petre Daea, the minister of agriculture, will participate in the Romanian Farmers’ Gala, as part of PRIA Agriculture Conference in Bucharest, on September 28, 2017, organized by PRIA Events.
PRIA Agriculture Conference, accompanied by PRIA Romanian Farmers’ Gala, is the most important autumn event for agriculture and represents a real debate platform among authorities, farmers and companies in the field.
The Romanian farmers’ efforts and contribution will be acknowledged. They invested Romanian capital, time, labour, knowledge and energy for agriculture, while important topics for farmers will be discussed at the conference.
The way PAC will look after 2020 is one of the main topics at the event. Farmers pay great attention to the topic because it is important to contribute to future provisions and agriculture holds pride of place in Romania. The Ministry of Agriculture, together with farmers should establish what is best for Romania and obtain better results and simplify the application of PAC, like higher subsidies for Romanian farmers and more European funds.
The law on farming land is also one of the important topics to be debated, as well as the absorption of European funds, and also collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and that of Environment, in order to obtain the best results for farmers. We will also talk about drought and the irrigation system in Romania; buying and selling farming land; European funds and simplifying procedures, subsidies and the situation of payments; fiscal measures for agriculture, 2017 balance sheet and solutions for a better farming year in 2018.
