President Traian Basescu participates in ceremonies celebrating Grunwald battle

President Traian Basescu participated on Thursday, upon the invitation of the president of Poland, in the ceremonies celebrating 600 years since the battle of Grunwald, held in Poland at Grunwald and Malbork, the Presidential administration informed. The activities organized by Polish authorities in Grunvald and Malbork Palace in which many heads of state participate, include laying wreaths at the monuments of the Grunwald battle and a visit at the local museum. The battle of Grunwald took place on 15 July 1410 between the Polish, Lithuanian armies and troops of the Teutonic Order. Moldpres news agency mentioned that the president of Moldova Mihai Ghimpu had scheduled a meeting with the president of Romania.
