Romania paid in April a sum of 1.2 billion euro from the debt to the European Commission of 2009
On 30 April 2018, the foreign currency reserves were at the level of 33.53 billion euro, against 34.72 billion euro on 31 March, due to the payment of a sum of 1.23 billion euro of the debt to the European Commmission (EC) commissioned in 2009,shows a press release sent on Wednesday by the central bank.
‘ The payments in the account of the public debt in foreign currency were almost 1.41 billion euro,out of which capital reimbursement and interest corresponding to the loan taken by the ministry of public finances from the European Commission in 2009 of 1.23 billion euro’ the press release says.
