Romania's National Day marked in Canada by light show at Niagara Falls and flag raising at Ottawa City Hall

The light show with the colours of Romania's flag was organized on December 1,2020 between 21:45 and 22:00 hours (local time GMT-5) at Niagara Falls and could be also seen online, according to the press release of Romania's Embassy in Ottawa. 

Romania's flag will be raised in a ceremony in front of the federal Canadian City Hall, Ottawa, in the presence of mayor Jim Watson on December 3.

Romania's Embassy mentioned that the Foreign Ministry celebrates this year Romania's National Day with a digital diplomacy project. Over November 28 – December 1, 2020, in a specially created section on its own website www.mae.ro/node/54346, the Foreign Ministry and Romania's  over 150 diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad promote the Romanian creative talent and the country's history.
