The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania launches the National Top of Companies 2019 on 7 November
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania launches on 7 November the 2019 edition of the National Top of Companies, considered a barometre of the Romanian economy, according to a press release.
For over 25 years, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania has awarded prizes to the most performing Romanian companies, being the only institution capable through organic law to establish such a ranking at national level. The National Top of Companies represents at the same time, an important witness of the Romanian economic transition from a centralized market, state-run, to a free, competitive one. The first edition of the National Top of Companies took place in 1994 and the first 15 places were occupied by only 759 companies. To establish the ranking there was used a data basis of only 1,000 companies. At the same time, the activity domains analysed to make the Na?ional Top of Companies , edition 1994, were agriculture, constructions, services, commerce and industry.
For the 2019 edition of the National Top of Companies there were analysed 706,144 financial accounting balances of the active companies in Romania. Out of which, 225,362 balances got into competition for the first 10 places in the national ranking, in accordance with the methodology of making the top of the companies implemented by the Chambers of Commerce in all counties of the country.
By comparison to the first edition of the top and as a consequence in the economic progress of Romania, there are awarded prizes to the companies in the such domains: forestry and fishing, research, development and high tech, tourism.
The most performing companies in Romania will be awarded prizes during the Gala ‘ The National Top of the companies” (TNF), edition 26th, event which will take place on Thursday 7th November, at the Romexpo Exhibition Centre. At the event there are waited over 600 guests –representatives of the most performing companies, personalities of the central public authorities, a? well as chairmen of the Chambers of Commerce at county level.
