The elected president of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon goes to Moscow on a private visit
The elected president of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon announced on Sunday on its Facebook page that he goes to Moscow on a private visit, informs deschide.md.:To avoid speculations I go to Moscow on a private visit with my wife (a family event)’Dodon said.
Dodon also mentioned that an official visit to Moscow will take place after he is sworn in as president of the Republic of Moldova.
The president of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated Igor Dodon on the victory obtained during the presidential voting of 13 November.
The administration of the Russian president announced that Putin underlined the fact that the results of the voting shows the support of the electorate for Dodon’ s ideas as regards the social and economic stability as well as for the construction of a balanced foreign policy.
Putin expressed his wish for a constructive dialogue and for the joint activity regarding the development of the relations Moldo-Russian in accordance with the Agreement for friendship and collaboration signed 15 years ago.
The leader from Kremlin invited Dodon to Russia and wished him success in his activity as head of state.
Putin was among the first to send congratulations to the elected president of the Republic of Moldova.
