The law for the illegal deforestation to be considered threats at the national security promulgated
President Klaus Iohannis promulgated on Saturday the law initiated by 50 PNL MPs through which the illegal deforestation of surfaces over one ha to be considered among the vulnerabilities at the address of the national security.
According to the draft, illegal deforestation on big surfaces, the reduction without legal approval of the consistence of the trees with over 50% of the provisions of the forest makeup, the exploitation without forestry arrangement of the forests will be considered as vulnerability at the address of national security.
The draft was adopted tacitly by the Deputies’ chamber as the deadline for debate, 29 September was over and later, in December, it got the vote of the Senate as decision-making forum. The legislative initiative was signed by 50 PNL MPs.
