The retail turnover in September 2020
? Compared to the previous month, in September 2020 the retail turnover volume (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased both as gross series by 0.4% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 1.7%.
? Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the retail turnover volume (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased both as gross series by 4.6% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 3.5%.
? Compared to the period 1.I-30.IX.2019, in the period 1.I-30.IX.2020 the retail turnover volume (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased both as gross series by 1.7% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 1.4%.
September 2020 as against August 2020
As against the previous month, in September 2020 the retail turnover volume (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles), gross series, globally increased by 0.4% due to increases registered by the sale of nonfood products (+5.3%). Decreases were registered by the retail of automotive fuel in specialised stores (-3.1%) and by the sale of food, beverages and tobacco (-3.0%).
As against the previous month, in September 2020 the retail turnover volume (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality, globally increased by 1.7% due to increases registered by the sale of non-food products (+2.8%), by the sale of food, beverages and tobacco (+2.0%) and by the retail of automotive fuel in specialised stores (+1.1%).
September 2020 as against September 2019
As against September 2019, in September 2020 the retail turnover volume (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles), gross series, globally increased by 4.6% due to increases registered by the sale of non-food products (+11.6%) and by the sale of food, beverages and tobacco (+2.8%). The retail of automotive fuel in specialised stores decreased by 4.2%.
As against September 2019, in September 2020 the retail turnover volume (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality, globally increased by 3.5% due to the increases registered by the sale of non-food products (+9.7%) and by the sale of food, beverages and tobacco (+4.6%). The retail of automotive fuel in specialised stores decreased by 5.0%.
Period 1.I-30.IX.2020 as against period 1.I-30.IX.2019
As against period 1.I-30.IX.2019, in the period 1.I-30.IX.2020 the retail turnover volume (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles), gross series, registered an increase of 1.7% due to the increases registered by the sale of food, beverages and tobacco (+5.8%) and by the sale of non-food products (+3.9%). The retail of automotive fuel in specialised stores decreased by 8.4%.
As against period 1.I-30.IX.2019, in the period 1.I-30.IX.2020 the retail turnover volume (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality, registered an increase of 1.4% due to the increases registered by the sale of food, beverages and tobacco (+5.8%) and by the sale of non-food products (+3.5%). The retail of automotive fuel in specialised stores decreased by 8.4%.
