The second edition of the Expat Fair, April 16, Willbrook Platinum Business & Convention Center
This year, City Compass Group is organizing on April 16, the second edition of the Expat Fair exclusively dedicated to the expat communities living in Romania. The event will take place at Willbrook Business & Convention Center, a venue embraced by the Baneasa woods in the north part of the city.
“The Expat Fair completes the feel at home services of our group with an intensive, unique and helpful event. We want our visitors to connect with each other, get to know local businesses and to learn about Romania's do's and don'ts in our workshops. All this in order to enjoy life in Romania to the max!”, says Volker Moser, the co-founder of City Compass Group.
The first edition of the fair was a successful one and took place on the 3rd of October at The Ark, a historical building, among the few left after the demolition of the Uranus district in the 80’s. More than 60 companies with tailored services for expats and 400 visitors (internationals living in Bucharest and Romanians alike) were gathered under the same roof in a friendly atmosphere. The eight different topics workshops, organised by City Compass in collaboration with their partners, offered to the visitors the chance to discover interesting insights about living and working in Romania.
The Expat Fair will be the meeting place between the eager expats willing to find out more about the insights of a smooth and fast integration in Romania and the professionals able to offer them the kind of information they need as well as some special offers.
The event includes a fair, workshops and a casual networking session, and will have a full agenda for the entire day. Approximately 60 partners will be present at the event.
The confirmed workshops will have interesting topics, such as: "Culture & children's play - the importance of an international environment and how this affects play", “You better jump” - From expat to being a part of the community", “Romania then and now - 25 years of change”, “How to become a hero as an expatriate - by making yourself replaceable”, “Living and working in Bucharest as a foreigner in 2016 - is it cool or overestimated?”
The fair area will showcase: King's Oak - British International School, ICUnet.AG, Hotel Cismigiu, Gosselin Mobility, JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, Questfield, Grecu & Asociatii, Santa Fe Relocations, AISB - American International School of Bucharest, Terra Carpatica, Ramada Hotel & Suites Bucharest North, Snagov Club, DSBU - Deutsche Schule Bukarest, AmCham - American Chamber of Commerce Romania, Ametras Documents, my romanian store, Rilvan Moving & Relocations, Alpha Cab, Anchor Grup, Fundatia FARA, Uber, 4U Travel Romania, New Real Estate Capital, Marina Regia Residence, ACT - Asociatia Culinara Transilvania and others.
The networking part will be supported by Transearch, Ursus, Flavours Food Design.
