The State Secretary Franz Josef Pschierer proposes the organisation of a Romanian – Bavarian business forum in Munich
The support offered to the companies for new investments and the creation of work places, professional training following the dual German model, the digitalisation of the production and the implementation of the concept ‘ Smartindustry- Industrie 4.0’ were on Thursday among the topics discussed in the meeting between the state secretary in the ministry of economy, commerce and relations with the business environment Manuel Costescu and the state secretary in the ministry for economy and media, energy and technology in Bavaria Franz Josef Pschierer.
According to the press release of the ministry of economy, Franz Josef Pschierer leads a Bavarian economic mission to Romania, delegation made up of almost 30 representatives of companies, chambers of commerce and crafsmen, professional associations and employers’ associations.
The Romanian dignitary who is also the coordinator of the department Investromania presented the stage where the Romanian economy is, underlying the aspects of interest to the potential Bavarian investors.
‘This economic mission is already a traditional action, which has been taken place regularly in the latest years, as an expression of Bavarian interest to Romania, interest expressing the strategic importance offered by the German land to the region of Central and Eastern Europe’ underlines MECRAMA.
In his turn, the state secretary Franz Josef Pschierer appreciated the degree of attractivity of the Romanian economy, showing at the same time the deficit of the presentation of Romania to Germany, proposing for this, to organise in Munich a Business Forum where the Bavarian companies could be presented the investment opportunities and business opportunities of our country in domains such as: IT&C, auto industry, aeronautics, environment technology, energy supplying services.
A delegation made up of 30 representatives of the Bavarian economy was on a visti in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca between 10-13 May with meetings organised to intensify the economic relations between Romania and Bavaria and to open new cooperation domains.
The key domains are automotive industry, IT sector, environment technology and machine building industry and installations.
Romania is 19th in the top of commercial partners of Bavaria who is 5th in the top of Romania’s partners.
In 2015, foreign commerce with goods between Romania and Bavaria had a growing trend, the value of commercial exchanges between Romania and Bavaria being of almost 4.7 billion euro (+8.05%) out of which export approximately 2.8 billion euro (+7.2%) and import almost 1.87 billion euro (+9.3%).
The commercial balance kept its extra character, being almost close to 1 billion euro in 2015.
According to the German statistics it is clear that Bavaria has the most important contribution, among the German lands to the levelling of the bilateral commercial balance. Thus the excess of almost 1 billion euro with Bavaria reduces the commercial deficit with FRG. This is in 2015 almost 1.7 billion euro.
In Romania there are over 1,400 Bavarian companies among which BMW, Lisa Draxlmaier, Ina Schaefler, Leoni AG, Webasto, Preh – in the sector of equipments and auto parts, Premium Aerotec (Airbus), Airbus Helicopters – aeronautics – Siemens, Osram – electronics and electrotechnics. Aro Stahl Produkt and Max Aicher –siderurgy and metal manufacturing, Gealan, Knauf Gips, Rehau – construction materials and infrastructure.
On 31.12.2015 in Romania the German investments were 4.557 billion euro. Similarly, at the same date, 21,106 companies out of which 7,000 active, which is 11.51% in total as investments in Romania (3rd place, after the Netherlands and Austria) according to ONRC.
