Wreck program for household appliances begins on December 15

Mircea Fechet, the minister of environment, waters and forests, announced on Thursday, at a press conference, that on December 15 Romanians will be able to buy new household appliances through the Wreck Program for Household Appliances.

The program has a total budget of 40 million lei and will allow the equipping of houses with state of the art appliances, for at least 100,000 Romanians. This year, four new products were introduced on the list of equipment which could be financed : vacuum cleaners, dryers, laptops and tablets.

The voucher value for each of the 9 financed pieces of equipment was:

1. 500 lei for laptops

2. 400 lei for air conditioning equipment, refrigerators, tv sets, dryers, dish washing machines, with grants of 400 lei;

3. - tablets and washing machines – grants of 300 lei;

4. vacuum cleaners with financing of 200 lei.

Practically, people interested will enter www.afm.ro where they must fill in the applicant's personal information and choose the equipment for which they will get financing.
