For the 2016/17 crop Romanian farmers reduced wheat planted area to 1850 Th ha due to excessive rains in October 2015, blackseagrain.net reports. Some part of wheat was sown after the optimal seeding terms. Despite rather snowless winter, weather conditions were favorable for crops wintering.
