Gov't continues scrapping program of older vehicles

A new phase of the 'car scrapping' program will commence on 1 February, under the same rules as in 2010, the number of given tickets being three again, in value of 3,800 lei each. In the first phase an amount of 228 million lei (1 euro = 4.25 million) is to be allocated, the needed money for dismantling of 60,000 cars older than ten years, according to officials of the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM).
