Trade: Retail business surges by 7.2 pc.

Retail turnover, other than vehicles and motorcycles, rose by 7.2 percent in the first four months of 2007 as against the same period last year, as a result of non-food products sales, the National Statistics Institute (INS) informed on Tuesday.Non-food products sales surged by 9.8 percent in the first four months of the year from the similar interval in 2006, whereas food products sales, beverage and tobacco were 4.8 percent higher.In Aprile, retail turnover volume, with the exception of ...
