ANRE: The number of prosumers connected to the distribution network reached 40,171 on January 1

The number of prosumers owners of an electricity production capacity from renewable sources of 423 MW total installed power connected to the distribution network was on 1st January 2023 40,171, show the centralized data by the National Authority of Regulation in the domain of energy (ANRE).

According to a press release of the institution, an analysis of the evolution of the number of prosumers shows an increase of three times of the prosumers at the end of 2022, as compared to the beginning of the same year.

The ANRE estimates for 2023 show that there will be over 100,000 new prosumers in Romania.

The ANRE representatives speak about the fact that the information materials connected to the process of connection of the consumption and production of electricity places which belong to prosumers are at the disposal of all those interested on the official internet page of the Authority.
