Hidroelectrica's gross profit grew by 6% in first 7 months to 971.8 million lei
Hidroelectrica, the energy producer, one of the most profitable state companies, recorded a gross profit of 971.88 million lei in the first 7 months of the year, on the rise by 6% compared to the same period of 2016,according to data published by the company on Facebook.
The business figure made in the first 7 months amounted to 1.948 billion lei, while the net profit margin grew from 38% in July 2016 to 43% in July 2017.
“The radical process of restructuring and efficiency underwent by the company in the last years made Hidroelectrica become the most profitable company in Romania, recording EBITDA of 69% of the business figure in the first 7 months of 2017,” company data show.
Company officials say that over June 30, 2012 and July 31, 2017, the improvement of net treasury from the negative level of - 763 million lei to the positive level of 1.731 billion lei was generated by significant operational incomes made in the account of credit lines.
In July, Hidroelectrica distributed shareholders dividends of 1.036 billion lei for 2016.
On July 31 there were 3,292 employees. The overall production of 8.768 TWh was obtained in the 207 exploration hydropower plants, including five pumping stations with energy role, with an installed power of 6.382 MW.
Hidroelectrica is one of the most profitable state companies and one of the largest energy producers in Romania.
The Energy Ministry is the majority shareholder.
