Klaus Iohannis has promulgated the decision regarding the system of own resources of the EU (EURATOM)

The president of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, has signed on Friday,28th May 2021 the decree regarding the promulgation of the Law for the ratification of the Decision (EU,EURATOM)2020/2053 of the Council on 14th December 2020 regarding the system of own resources of the European Union and abrogation of the Decision 2014/335/EU, Euratom, adopted in Brussels (PL-x 98/16.02.2021).

The new decision regarding the system of won resources of the EU (2020/2053)  and came into force on 1st January 2021 and it will be applied only after its ratification by all member states.`Its provisions are directly applicable to member states, without harmonisation with the national legislation.

The reunited plenary of the parliament adopted on Wednesday the draft law regarding the ratification of the EURATOM decision. There were 378 votes in favour, two votes against and three abstainers.
