Labour Minister: Romania among five countries with deficit of talents
According to Labour Minister Dragos Pislaru, Romania is among the first five countries in the world with a deficit of talents, with qualified workers and engineers being some of the hardest to fill positions, business-review.eu reports.
“The perception of 626 major Romanian employers Romania is placing us at an urban level among the first five countries with a deficit of talents. Moreover, compared to 2014, the perception that we have a deficit of talents, of qualified labour, is up by 21 percent. And I believe it is very important to mention the ranking of positions. There is an analysis made in 2015 and the situation was considered starting from those figures,” Pislaru said at a conference.
The hardest to fill is the position of qualified worker, the minister argued, followed by that of engineer, and driver. Managers, IT personnel, sales representatives, financial sector personnel , sales managers, horeca and unskilled workers are also in high demand, but employers find it difficult to recruit enough staff.
The study on the talent deficit was made by ManpowerGroup and included 626 major Romanian employers.
