Ovidiu Tender requests insolvency of Ten Airways company
Businessman Ovidiu Tender requested Bucharest Court to grant insolvency to Ten Airways company, owned by him. The air company owned by Tender began its activity in 2010, operating in charter and wet lease systems supposing the lease of aircraft with crew and services to operate in the name of another company.
Ten Airways had in 2013 a business figure of 43.6 million lei, seven times more than in 2012, when the figure was 5.9 million lei, according to data supplied by the Finance Ministry. The company had profit of 1.4 million lei in 2013, compared to the loss of 800,000 lei in 2012.
On the other hand, company debts grew in 2013 from 3 million lei in 2012 to 21 million lei. At the end of 2013 the company had 120 employees.In spring 2014 the businessman announced that the company had entered the commercial flight segment in partnership with Fly Romania. Tender announced then home and foreign flights from Bucharest, Timisoara and Tulcea to towns in Italy, Spain, Germany and Turkey and about 100,000 passengers in 2014. The partnership was interrupted after a few months because of unpaid debts of 400,000 euros, claimed by Tender.
