The number of insolvencies was halved in January, at 930 of files
The number of companies which got into insolvency in January was reduced by half against the first month of last year at 930 files, from 2,054 in Bucharest by recording the most entries in default, almost a quarter of the total, according to the National Office of Commercial Registrar.- ONRC,
The significant drop in the number of insolvencies was shown recently by the specialists in insolvency who explained the trend on the basis of coming into power at mid-year of the new legislation in the domain, which discourages the request for insolvency by the companies One of these is that which involves the administrator’s sanction for bringing the company to insolvency by not allowing him to have same position for a period of time. At the same time, the administrators can be criminally involved for the situation of the company, as the new legislation includes the fiscal inspection by specialised bodies.
The data of the National Union of Practicinors in Insolvency show that last year the drop in the number of insolvencies was 23%,but over the last sixmonths, when the new law of insolvency came to power, the drop was 50% from 15,000 files inQ2 of 2013 to 7,500 in Q2 in 2014.
In January, in all counties there was a drop in insolvencies with the exception of Bacau(+105% with 41 companies) and Constanta (+16 at 58 companies).The drops vary from 90.24%(Bistrita – Nasaud) to 6% (Maramures).
Most insolvencies were recorded in Bucharest (220), Constan?a (58) and Bihor (48),while Giurgiu (3) Bistri?a N?s?ud (4) and Neam? (4%)were the fewest companies which got into this situation.
The structure on domains shows a maintenance in the top of insolvencies of commercial companies (350), constructions (132) and manufacturing industry (100).
At the same time, during the period under analysis there were written off 10% fewer than in January 2014, while 1,611 companies were suspended dropping by 22.6%.
And registrations of new companies dropped with a slower rhythm of 0.16% at 8,501 companies.Most companies recorded have as object of activity (2486) professional activities, scientific and technical (906) and constructions (802).
At the end of January there were active over 1,14 million judicial people and natural persons.
