Study: "The Romanian Entrepreneur face to face with the modern consumer"
Over one third of Romanian companies (34 pct) still resort to leaflets and brochures to promote their business and only nearly a quarter (22 pct) promote themselves through smartphones, although it is considered the most efficient promotion channel by the companies using it, shows a specialized study, released on Monday.
According to the survey "The Romanian Entrepreneur face to face with the modern consumer," carried out by iSense Solutions, 62 pct of the companies activating in Romania use the internet as main promotion channel. Actually, companies have invested the most in the internet in the last 12 months (56 pct of the companies), pointing out the fact that 44 pct of companies with over 250 employees have invested the most in TV advertising.
At the same time, 34 pct of the questioned companies prefer leaflets/brochures, the same proportion participates in fairs/conferences and only 22 pct promote themselves through smartphones.
Paradoxically though, 62 pct of companies in Romania consider the smartphone the most effective means of promotion, followed by the internet (55 pct) and traditional media - outdoor (44 pct), radio (40pct) and TV (34 pct).
The most used means of online promotion are the company's website (used by 67 pct of companies), Facebook ads (54 pct), social media pages (46 pct), email marketing (37 pct), ads sites (30 pct) and Google ads (24 pct).
The most efficient are considered social media pages (53 pct), Google ads (49 pct) and search engine optimization (47 pct).
Specialized studies show that only 35 pct of entrepreneurs/company directors/general managers consider that positioning through low prices represents the key to success whereas providing high quality products/services is the most important for 69 pct. It is also important to ensure good customer experience (61 pct) and also to nicely impress clients (50 pct).
The study "The Romanian Entrepreneur face to face with the modern consumer" was carried out online on a sample of 267 active companies. The results have an error margin of +/-6 pct and a 95 pct confidence level. The study included owners/entrepreneurs, company directors or general managers from four categories of companies from different domains of activity in Romania: with up to 5, 6-50, 51-250 and over 250 employees.
