Budget rectification, approved
The second budget revision this year was approved on Wednesday in the Executive's meeting.
This budget rectification envisages a reduction, on balance, of the revenues with 2.909 billion lei and of the expenditure with 1.635 billion lei, according to the rectification project published by the Ministry of Public Finance. ( 1 euro = 4.43 USD )
This budgetary adjustment is aimed to provide all the necessary amounts for the functioning of all institutions in Romania and diminishments were solely targeted to unused amounts or savings made by the major credit taking institutions, said on Wednesday, at the start of the meeting of the government, Prime Minister Victor Ponta .
'I want to tell you very clearly : We made cuts only in case of unused amounts or savings and I thank the Ministry of Labour , which indeed has made savings by applying the law more accurately and better checking it. Not even one leu was cut at Health, those 54 million lei ( approximately 12 million euros - editor's note) go to CNAS ( the National House of Health Insurance - editor's note) , also for the health system '', the Prime Minister said .
Prime Minister Victor Ponta emphasized that the budget rectification was discussed by MFP leadership with international partners and the international financial institutions have officially recognized that, in 2013, Romania will record a higher economic growth, of 2.2 percent.
