Eurostat: Trust in Romania’s economy recorded in October the strongest decrease in the EU

Trust ofhe business environment and the population in Romania’s economy recorded in October the most important decrease in the EU, in the context of a worsening of the perception regarding the sector of services, data published on Wednesday by Eurostat.

 

The indicator of trust in economy dropped by 2.6 points, from the quota of 97.4 in September to October. The second at European level depending on the decline of trust in October is Lithuania – with a decline of 2.4 points, followed by Bulgaria and Spain – both with 2.2 points each.

 

Trust in the sector of services, trust of consumers and that in industry worsened in October in Romania, while constructions and retail recordd a positive evolution against the previous month.The washback comes after September had the strongest growth of the last six months, due to the improvement of the trust in services, industry and the area of consumers, sectors which put down the general indicator this month.

 

In the euro area, trust went up by 0.9 points, but in the EU by 1.1points. The positive trend recorded since May is kept, but the rhythm of improvement of trust slowed down against the previous months,shows a press release of Eurostat.

 

Out of the 28 member states, ten recorded drops of trust, and 16 increases, while in Latvia the indicator kept the same and Ireland did not record any data.
