Chuck Hagel pays visit to Romania. US Defense secretary meets minister Dusa on Thursday

US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel will make a visit to Romania upon the invitation of defense minister Mircea Dusa. The two officials will meet in Constanta on Thursday.

“The meeting of the two officials is scheduled for Thursday, June 5 in Constanta. They will approach topics like the military dimension of the Strategic Partnership between the two states with accent on the US support for Romania in the present situation from the Eastern neighbours, the importance of reassurance measures at ally level, the stage of US projects in Romania, as well as topics referring to the ally agenda in the perspective of the NATO Summit in Wales,” a Defense Ministry press release informs.

At the end of talks, minister Dusa and defense secretary Hagel will visit USS Vella Gulf stationed in Constanta Harbor.On that occasion minister Dusa and defense secretary Hagel will make joint press declarations.
