President Basescu attends Poland's 25 years of freedom celebrations

President Traian Basescu on Tuesday and Wednesday is in Warsaw to participate in celebrations of the 25th anniversary of Poland's democratic liberation, the Presidential Administration informs.

The head of state arrived on Tuesday at 16:00hrs, EEST, at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. As of 16:15hrs, EEST, Basescu attended a working lunch extended by United States President Barack Obama and Poland's President Bronislaw Komorowski.

In addition, starting with 19:00hrs, EEST, President Basescu took part in the award ceremony for the Solidarity Prize.

On Wednesday at 12:30hrs, EEST, Basescu will attend the official ceremony celebrating 25 years of freedom in Poland, held in Warsaw's Castle Square.
