Conservative Party Appoints Daniela Popa As Its President

Romania’s Conservative Party, or PC, on Sunday elected Daniela Popa as the party’s president with 570 in favor.Opponent Florin Anghel received only 557 votes and Senator Sabin Cutas got only 85 votes, which he afterwards gave to Popa. The congress of the Conservative Party started on Sunday, as party members need to choose another president to replace current head Dan Voiculescu who announced he would not be running for a new mandate
