Moldova's Metropolitan Bishop to be elected in early March

The new metropolitan bishop of Moldova and Bucovina is to be elected by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church, at a meeting due on March 5-7, Spokesman for the Romanian Patriarchy, Father Constantin Stoica, said. At this meeting the Bishops of Tulcea and Salaj, Slatina, the Bishops for the Romanian Diasporas in Rome, Madrid and Stockholm will also be elected.
