Council of Danube opened a new affiliated office in Galati
According to a press release from the Galati City Hall remitted on Thursday, the Council of Danube opened a new affiliated office in Galati, after Mayor Ionut Pucheanu attended to the conference "Danube Region Strategy" from Bratislava, Slovakia.
According to the release, the protocol on the opening of the office that is affiliated to the Council of Danube in Galati, was signed by Mayor Pucheanu and representatives of Council of Danube Cities and Regions, during the Mayor's participation to the conference in Bratislava in the beginning of this month.
The office was inaugurated on Wednesday and aims to achieve the objectives of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region by absorbing the EU funds for project implementation in Galati region, shows the source.
"This protocol establishes the cooperation between local public authorities, engaging simultaneously both the academic and business environments, and Council of Danube Cities and Regions. This institution will function as a liaison for the potential partners interested in the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, thus ensuring the development of networks and monitoring all the projects in the Danube area applicable to all the sectors of interest" the release mentions.
