Cristian Ghinea, the new minister of European funds

Cristian Ghinea has been sworn in as minister of European funds on Wednesday, in a ceremony at the Cotroceni Palace, seat of the Presidential Administration.
The event was attended by President Klaus Iohannis, who had already signed the appointment decree, by Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos and several ministers, and by Chamber of Deputies Speaker Valeriu Zgonea.
Ghinea, formerly chief of the prime minister's chancellery, had been nominated on Tuesday to replace Aura Raducu, who resigned on Monday upon Ciolos's request.
