Current uptake rate of European funds, up to 69.2pct in May
The current uptake rate of European funds rose in May by 2.99 percentage points to 69.2pct under the financial framework 2007-2013, according to the Ministry of European Funds (MFE).
Thus, the value of expenditure declarations submitted to the European Commission (EC) was worth over 13.1 billion euros on May 31. Regarding the actual uptake rate, namely the reimbursements from the EC, it rose by 1.26 percentage points to 65.05pct (12.3 billion euros).
Under the Sectoral Operational Programme Increase in Economic Competitiveness, the current uptake rate was 75.75pct, the same as at end-April, under the Sectoral Operational Programme Technical Assistance, it was 97.71pct (as in April), under the Sectoral Operational Programme Environment it increased to 74.85pct (+3.73 percentage points), under the Regional Operational Programme it stood at 73.5pct (+8.75 percentage points), under the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development it was 54.87pct (+0.36 percentage points), the Transport Sectoral Operational Programme, it amounted to 64.62pct (+0.85 percentage points) and under the Operational Programme Development of Administrative Capacity it went up to 98.01pct (+4.64 percentage points).
The date of December 31, 2015 is the eligibility deadline of the expenditures made by beneficiaries, and June 30, 2016 — the submission to the European Commission and to the Audit Authority of the final application for intermediary payment.
Also, March 31, 2017 is the deadline until which the payment application of the final balance and of the final declaration of expenditures must be transmitted to the Commission, through SFC 2007.
