DefMin Fifor meets Canadian Ambassador Hamilton to talk about cooperation inside NATO
Romania's National Defence Minister Mihai Fifor had a meeting on Tuesday with Canadian Ambassador to Romania Kevin Hamilton, on which occasion the two officials focused on important topics on the bilateral agenda, but also on cooperation inside the North-Atlantic Alliance, a release of the National Defence Ministry (MapN) informs.
According to the quoted source, Minister Mihai Fifor voiced appreciation for Canada's support for implementing the allied decisions for strengthening the eastern flank, for the contribution of the Royal Canadian Air Force to the strengthened air policing mission running between September — December 2017, but also for the military presence within the Headquarters Multinational Brigade South-East (HQ MN BDE-SE) and the Multinational Brigade in Craiova.
"The participation in the Invictus Games Toronto 2017 of our servicemen injured in theaters of war, members of the Invictus Romania team, was en event with profound national significance and on this occasion, I want to address special thanks to Canada for the very good cooperation on this dimension also," the National Defence Minister stated, as quoted in the release.
