President Iohannis signs decrees appointing new ministers

President Klaus Iohannis signed on Tuesday the decrees appointing in office Paul Stanescu - as Minister of Regional Development, Felix Stroe - at the helm of the Transport Ministry and Marius Nica - as Minister of European Funds.

Prime Minister Mihai Tudose sent on Monday to President Klaus Iohannis the three proposals for ministers which on Friday got the nod of approval of the Social Democratic Party's National Executive Committee. 

The new members of the Government - Paul Stanescu with the Regional Development, Public Administration and European Funds Ministry, Felix Stroe with the Transport Ministry and Marius Nica with European Funds - have taken the oath of office on Tuesday in a ceremony at Cotroceni Presidential Palace in the presence of President Klaus Iohannis. 

The ceremony was attended by premier Mihai Tudose, Deputy Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, MPs Claudiu Manda and Gabriel Vlase, as well as presidential adviser Cosmin Marinescu.
