States of the European Union sent anti-Covid 19 drugs and equipment to Romania, which faces an increase of infections, mostly among the non-vaccinated majority of the adult population, shows Reuters on Friday.

The European Commission announced on Friday they coordinated the transport to Romania of 250 oxygen units, essential devices for medical oxygen necessary to the patients Covid-19 in critical state.

Poland sent 50 of the 250 units, while the rest comes from the EU reserve.

The European Commission says they coordinated the transport of 5,200 doses of monoclonal antibodies from Italy to Romania, as well as eight supplementary oxygen units and 15 fans from Denmark. The monoclonal antibodies are an experimental treatment for the Covid-19 patients.

Only approximately one third of the adult population of Romania has received at least one anti-Covid 19 vaccine dose, according to the European public data.

Official data since the beginning of this week show that over 70% of the Covid-19 cases are among the non-vaccinated people, similarly, 93% of the deaths associated to this illness.
