Eurostat: Confidence in Romania’s economy slightly improves in November
The confidence of the business environment and of the people in Romania’s economy has slightly grown in November, backed by the service and retail trade sectors, following a strong decline in October. The evolution is according to the positive trend in EU.The confidence trend in economy went up by 0.5% from 9,48 in October to 95.3 in November, according to Eurostat data.
Confidence in the service and retail trade had a positive evolution while the perception from industry and constructions continued to worsen. The improvement took place when in October confidence in Romania’s economy recorded the biggest drop in EU.
In the euro area, confidence in economy grew in November from 97.7% to 98.5%, the highest level after August 2011. In EU the indicator grew by 0.4% to 102.1%.
At EU level, 18 states recorded increases, 7 had drawbacks and 2 stagnated as concerns confidence in economy. No data were reported for Ireland.
