EY Study: 74 percent of Romanian companies have used social networks to promote their companies
In 2015, 74 percent of Romanian companies have used social networks to promote their companies and are planning to use them in the future, a study by EY Romania informs.
According to the study 'Social media and the Romanian business environment 2015,' 91pct of companies claim that the use of social networks provides them with a competitive advantage compared to companies that do not use them, and 53pct of respondents are generating sales opportunities via social media.
In 2015 the preferred social network was Facebook with 92pct of responses (93pct globally), followed by LinkedIn with 75pct (71pct globally) and by YouTube with 37pct (55pct globally). Year-on-year, LinkedIn use increased by 14pct year-on-year and YouTube and Twitter use by 8pct each.
According to the survey, the frequency of use of social networks decreased significantly. In 2015, only 36pct of respondents stated that they use social media daily, 5pct less than in 2014 and 13pct less than in 2013.
The survey, which analysed the responses of 270 local businesses is based on a questionnaire that was filled in between November 3-20, 2015.
