Romania supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine

State Secretary with the Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE) Radu Podgorean met on Tuesday with Ukrainian Ambassador to Romania Teofil Bauer and said Romania supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. 

According to a MAE release issued on, during the meeting the two officials tackled issues related to deepening bilateral cooperation, with focus on inter-parliamentary cooperation. 

"The State Secretary has reaffirmed Romania's full support for strengthening European vector in Ukraine's foreign policy. He reconfirmed Romania's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine over its entire territory and, as head of the Romanian side of the Joint Bilateral Committee for National Minorities, underscored the interest in boosting the Romanian-Ukrainian dialogue in terms of the national minorities' rights in the two countries," the release reads. 

The Ukrainian ambassador presented the latest developments in his country, including the implementation of the Minsk agreements, as well as the recent developments in Ukraine's relationship with the European Union.
