Florin Citu: a supplementary sum of 10.77 billion lei was allocated to support the workplaces

The ministry of work and social protection received a supplementary sum of 3.57 billion lei, against

the initial budget, and the budget of unemployment insurances 7.2 billion lei so that a sum of 10.77

billion lei was allocated as a supplement in 2020 to support the workplaces, says the minister of finances, Florin Citu.

‘Transparency and professionalism. It is important to know in what sectors of the economy the money was allocated as a supplement in 2020 against the initial budget. The largest sums, over a billion lei against the initial budget were allocated thus: the ministry of work and social protection received a sum of 3.57 billion lei+ budget of unemployment insurance which received 7.2 billion = 10.77 billion lei extra against the initial budget to support the workplaces. The ministry of health received an extra of 2.38 billlion lei + the national fund for social health insurance which received 3.66 billion lei = 6.04 billion lei extra for the health of the Romanians, the ministry of agriculture and rural development received 3.24 billion lei extra’ Citu said on Friday on his facebook page.

Similarly, Citu said that for investments there was allocated an extra sum of 5.91 billion lei in the economy over the last ten years during the same period of the year. And we are during a period of economic crisis but it is only through investments that we avoid the fall of the economy and we must make sure that we have a solid recovery in 2021. Moreover, it was only during this budgetary rectification that we increased the guarantee limit by 14 billion lei: the increase of the limit of IMMInvest programme by 5 billion, from 15 billion to 20 billion lei – the biggest successful programme destined to SMEs implemented în Romania.

HORECA is second in Bucharest and fourth at national level as regards the requests for this programme, especially restaurants’ the minister of finances says.
