ForMin Corlatean announces agreement on small border traffic with Ukraine
Minister of Foreign Affairs Titus Corlatean on Thursday stated that the agreement on small border traffic between Romania and Ukraine will be signed on the occasion of a visit his Ukrainian counterpart is going to pay to Bucharest in the close future.
In his opening speech delivered at the Annual Reunion of Romanian Diplomacy, Minister Corlatean explained that the Ukrainian head of diplomacy wasn't able to attend this event because of the dramatic developments in his country in the latest period.
'We have agreed upon an official visit of his to Bucharest in the close future, during which visit we are going to sign the agreement on the so-called small border traffic between our two countries, which we had only signed ad referendum with the former Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister, this April. This is an extremely important agreement in what concerns the free movement of people and also for the European destiny of Ukraine, but also for the Ukrainian citizens, including for the Romanian ethnics who live along the border between Romania and Ukraine,' said Corlatean.
