Garana Jazz Festival: 18 jazz bands,short films, theatre and mountain trails in the Semenic Mountains
Jazz recitals, short films projections, or outdoor theatre events, are only some of the elements of the jazz festival in Garana, which will take place between 6 and 9 July in the Semenic Mountains, on the stage at Poiana Lupului and the Catholic Church Valiug, informed on Monday the organisers.
After the concerts, Poiana Lupului will transform in a cinema and it will host a special programme of short films offered by the French Institute.A series of comedies, tragi-comic dramas and short animation will bring to life the tales of the present and characters of the most diverse type.
There will also be run the short film of the Romanian photograph Andrei Becheru ‘ Nature laughs as Time Slips’ inspired by the album of the same name of the American musician Tor Lundval.
The ‘Aualeu’ theatre group, well-known for the ‘mobile’ performances in cities, villages and even abroad, will be present every night with performances which will bring inspiration, question and answers.
Timisoara writers Nicolae Strambeanu, Brandusa Armance, Daniel Vighi and Viorel Marineasa will launch their new books during the festival and the audience passionate about the Romanian jazz will participate at the launching of the newest albums signed by Marius Preda and Mircea Tiberian.
From Saturday to Sunday Poiana Lupului near Garana will host the second edition of the National Fair of Discs Collectors, an event which will bring together the fans of vinyl and good music.

Tickets can be acquired online, in advance through BiletMaster.ro, MyTicket and Bilete.ro, online or through the partner shops networks for 300 lei for a four-day ticket or 85 lie if there is only one festival night.
