Gastronomic and cultural traditions, sports and art moments at Asian Food Fest in weekend

Gatronomic and cultural traditions, sports and art moments from 15 Asian countries will be presented at the third sports and art festival Asian Food Fest, held in Titan Park, Bucharest, on Friday till Sunday.

 

According to the organizers' press release of Tuesday, 50 exhibitors from Japan, China, Iran, Iraq, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Mongolia and Malaezia participate.

 

Asian kitchens will compete in offering visigors famous traditional food and less known culinary products.

 

Food will be accompanied by cold drinks specific of Asian countries: juices, cocktails, beer, traditional drinks based on rice, such as wine or sake.

 

The event includes culinary competitions for amateur cooks and live cooking sessions.

 

Besides tents and food trucks with food and beverages there will be an area of traditional workshops of painting, molding, caligraphy, manucafturing accessories and figures from various materials (stone, pens, wood, plaster).

 

Asian Food Fest will also include martial art demonstrations, traditional dances and music from Japan, India, South Korea, Turkey, traditional Asian costumes parades.

In the first two days of the festival there will be film presentations at 20.30- Kocan Kadar Konus (Turkey, directed by Kyvanc Baruonu) and Every Day a Good Day (Japan, directed by Tatsushi Amori).

 

On Sunday there will be an Asian Party where guests will be able to dance and sing on Bollywood music and Turkish songs.

 

Admission is free at Asian Food Fest.
