IER Conference: EU’s Reform and the Next Multiannual Perspective. New Priorities, New Objectives? Challenges for Central and Eastern European Countries

The European Institute of Romania (EIR), in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Bucharest, holds on 7 December 2016 the Conference on "EU’s Reform and the Next Multiannual Perspective. New Priorities, New Objectives? Challenges for Central and Eastern European Countries".

The event will be attended by officials from Romania and other European Union Member States, as well as prestigious experts and analysts specialised in European Affairs. The conference agenda is structured in three sessions: (1) EU’s Reform and the Next Multiannual Perspective. New Priorities, New Objectives? A Strategic View from Central and Eastern European Countries; (2) Interim Evaluation and Challenges for the Future Financial Perspective. Romania’s Perspective; (3) Interim Evaluation and Challenges for the Future Financial Perspective. Vi?egrad Countries’ Perspective.

The final part of the event will be marked by the ceremony for the EIR Excellence Awards for promoting the European spirit and values, the 7th edition. This year, the EIR sought to bring to the attention of the public interested in European affairs the Romanian schools and upper secondary schools with remarkable results in the "European School" project, as well as the promoter and coordinator of this project - the Directorate General for Primary and Secondary Education within the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research. The awards will go to the following schools and upper secondary schools: the No.1 School Center for Inclusive Education in Oradea, the Economic College in Buz?u, the “Ion Ghica” Economic College in Târgovi?te, the “Andrei ?aguna” School in Deva, the “Mihai Eminescu” National College in Baia Mare, the “Octavian Goga” National College in Sibiu and the  “?tefan Procopiu” Upper Secondary School in Vaslui.

The working languages of the conference are Romanian and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
