In August 2016, the wholesale turnover increased by 15.1% compared to August 2015

  • As against the previous month, in August 2016 the wholesale turnover (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles), in nominal terms, increased both as gross series by 4.1% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 1.6%.

  • As against the corresponding month of the previous year, the wholesale turnover (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles), in nominal terms, increased both as gross series by 15.1% and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 11.9%.

  • As against the period 1.I-31.VIII.2015, in the period 1.I-31.VIII.2016 the wholesale turnover (excluding the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles), in nominal terms, increased both as gross series and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and to seasonality by 8.2% and by 7.0%, respectively.

 

The turnover in trade increased in August by 15.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the data published on Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

"In comparison to the corresponding month of the previous year, the wholesale trade turnover (excluding the trade with vehicles and motorcycles), in nominal terms, increased both as gross series by 15.1 percent and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and seasonality by 11.9 percent," the INS reveals. 

Compared to June 2016, the wholesale trade turnover (excluding the trade with vehicles and motorcycles), in nominal terms, increased both as gross series by 4.1 percent and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and seasonality by 1.6 percent. 

In the first eight months of this year, the wholesale trade turnover (excluding the trade with vehicles and motorcycles), in nominal terms, increased both as gross series and as adjusted series according to the number of working days and seasonality by 8.2 percent, and by 7.0 percent respectively, compared to the corresponding period of the last year.
