Israel – the honour guest in Bookfest 2016

The honour guest of this year is Israel which will take part in Bookfest under the motto ‘ Never Stop Dreaming’.

Proposing almost 30 events, Israel will offer the Romanian public the meeting with names of great importance of the Israeli contemporary literature - Zeruya Shalev, Fania Oz-Salzberger, Meir Shalev, Dror Mishani, Rony Oren ?i Gil Hovav.

The honour guest of the fair to be placed in Pavillion C4 will be visited by those interested to get a rich offer of books in Hebrew, as well as editions on Romanian of some of the well-known Israeli books.

The art cinema Bookfest will add an important ingredient for the success of the edition, by bringing the film Son of Saul, the winner of the Oscar Award for the best foreign film, to be presented on Friday.

Visiting hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Sunda – 10:00 – 20:00; Friday and Saturday – 10:00 – 21:00.

The access of visitors will be free of charge for the duration of the book fair.

Bookfest is organised by the Asociatia Editorilor din Romania, under the aegis of the Federatia Editorilor din Romania with the support of the ministry of culture and in partnership with the ministry of national education and scientific research, the present edition taking place under the patronage of president Klaus Iohannis.
