PM Tudose: Law on PPP could be published in the Official Journal next week
The Law on public private partnerships (PPP) could be published in the Official Journal next week "at the latest," Prime Minister Mihai Tudose announced on Monday, while participating in the meeting of the Romanian Association of Municipalities (AMR).
"The laws regarding acquisitions and contracts - there are three proposals - are ready to be submitted to Parliament for celerity, so that we won't lose another month or two in the Government's approval circuit, and then we are having the public debate and finally it will be sent to Parliament. The PPP Law, if God allows it and we have the approvals by Wednesday, will make the subject of a Government Ordinance on Wednesday, so that it will start working. If we move slower, however, then next week, at the latest, we will have the PPP Law published in the Official Journal. The idea is not to take the 11 billion from you, but to find a way for you to put this into the economy, to keep it moving, to produce good things for the people you represent. The sooner, the better," specified Tudose
