Pricopie: after the discussions in the European Parliament on 3 October the need for change in the PSD wil be even clearer
The need for change in the PSD will be even clearer after the discussions in the European Parliament on 3 October and the following meeting of the CExN of the social-democrats could notice that the resources of credibility in the case of the leader of the party are exhausted, stated on Monday the rector of the National School for Political and Administrative Studies,Remus Pricopie.
‘I think that on Friday after the CEx of the PSD the model of the unipersonal leadership in the Romanian politics has become history. If they needed 8 hours to discuss a matter which could have been discussed very quickly ( the resignation or not of the leader of the party) it means that there are serious doubts regarding the future of the PSD leadership. The score of the meeting was presented as a success but at a closer look, it shows something else.Three weeks ago,in Neptun there were two voices which contested the leader. On Friday there were 10-12 more- very importantly – approximately CEx members who avoided to show explicitly their support for the present PSD leadership’ said Pricopie on Facebook.
According to him, the next CExN meeting of the social-democrats could see the fact that ‘the resources of political credibility of Liviu Dragnea got exhausted’.
‘The next meeting could confirm the fact that the credibility resources of Liviu Dragnea got exhausted and inside the party not only outside the party – where he was considered under 4% trust. In my opinion, all this trouble of the biggest political party in Romania is beneficial for democracy and the participation to the political decision. The responsible political parties –so much the ones with the accountability of governing – must accept the internal changes in the benefit of the society. I think that, after the discussioins in the European Parliament on 3 October (on the margin of the violences at the protest of 10 August) the need for change in the PSDwill be evident’ Remus Pricopie said.
